Job Description Summary:
As Senior Manager, Product Marketing you will be responsible for crafting the product marketing vision and narrative for Venmo’s commerce offerings. You will partner closely with Product, Commercial, Marketing, and Research teams to drive both inbound and outbound product marketing initiatives—helping Venmo expand its role as a trusted commerce platform for consumers and merchants alike. About Venmo “Just Venmo me.” You’ve probably heard or said it — Venmo has become part of everyday language. But Venmo is more than payments; it’s about community. It’s where money connects people — helping friends and loved ones share, split, and celebrate life together. From our start as a simple P2P app, we’ve grown into a platform millions use daily, whether sending money, paying with the Venmo Debit Card, or running Venmo Business Profiles. And we’re just getting started, making payments simpler, more social, and more rewarding.This job manages software development projects, implements processes, ensures project delivery, analyzes technical issues, collaborates with stakeholders, and communicates technical issues with non-technical audiences. It involves setting operational targets and driving operational rigor.

Job Description:
Essential Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Product, Marketing, and Sales teams to drive product commercial success
  • Champion customer needs to ensure products address key pain points and deliver value
  • Develop and execute go-to-market plans for new product launches and feature updates
  • Build a deep understanding of markets, competitors, and regulatory landscapes to inform strategy
  • Collaborate with client-facing teams to gather customer feedback and refine product positioning
  • Support the launch of new markets and offers by coordinating with global and regional teams
  • Lead the prioritization and execution of marketing campaigns to increase adoption and market share
  • Provide expertise on product capabilities, value propositions, and best use cases
  • Monitor product performance metrics and identify opportunities for growth and optimization
  • Drive commercial readiness by developing positioning, messaging, and cross-channel launch strategies


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 12 years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.


Essential Responsibilities:

  • Directly manages software development projects (including program management) and execution through individual contributors. May also lead project teams across platforms or groups
  • Implements processes to drive strong operational hygiene for all components and systems within their group
  • Responsible for the delivery of projects, including quality and timeliness, that impact their domain and potentially one other
  • Demonstrates strong tactical ability by managing the roadmap for a scrum team responsible for technical issues of diverse scope where analysis requires an understanding of current business or tends
  • Competent at communicating technical issues with non-technical audiences
  • Analyzes multiple sources of information and identifies & resolves complex technical, operational, and organizational problems relating to software development.
  • Collaborates with direct team, managers in org, stakeholders such as Product Owners & PMO


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 8–10 years of product marketing experience, with 5 in leadership roles, ideally within tech, fintech, or commerce/digital payments
  • Proven track record of launching and scaling commerce or payment products in competitive markets.
  • Strong analytical skills with deep experience in market research, customer insights, and performance measurement.
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, able to translate complex commerce solutions into compelling narratives.
  • Experienced in leading cross-functional initiatives in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
  • People management experience, with a focus on coaching and developing high-performing teams.
  • Passion for product, payments, and the evolving commerce landscape.


Qualifications
  • Proven experience (7 years) in software engineering, with at least 2 years in a management role.
  • Strong technical background across mobile, web, and backend systems, with hands-on experience in at least one domain.
