About the Role
We are looking for a Curative Specialist to join our title team. In this role, you will review title reports, identify defects, and resolve issues to ensure a clear and marketable title prior to closing. The ideal candidate has a strong background in real estate title, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple files with tight deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Review title commitments and identify defects (liens, judgments, unreleased mortgages, probate issues, etc.).
- Work with lenders, underwriters, attorneys, and municipalities to resolve title issues.
- Obtain curative documents such as satisfactions, releases, affidavits, and court orders.
- Keep detailed records of curative actions and provide regular status updates.
- Support the closing team to ensure timely and successful closings.
Qualifications
- Experience in title curative, title examination, or related real estate/escrow work.
- Knowledge of title laws, underwriting, and recording requirements.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Proficiency in title software and MS Office.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
