Hospice Aide

Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Hospice Aides to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in hospice care, assisting them with daily living activities and ensuring their comfort and dignity during this critical time. Your work will significantly impact the quality of life for patients and their families, making your role both rewarding and vital.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to patients and their families.
• Help with mobility by lifting and transferring patients as needed.
• Monitor patient conditions by observing changes in physical or emotional health.
• Document patient care activities accurately in compliance with care plans.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to implement individualized care plans.
• Support patients in memory care activities to enhance cognitive engagement.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients in home community care settings.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in senior care, nursing homes, or hospice care is preferred.
• Strong caregiving skills with a compassionate approach to patient care.
• Ability to lift and assist patients safely while adhering to proper techniques.
• Familiarity with memory care systems and best practices is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Must be reliable, empathetic, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
