Primary Purpose:
The primary purpose of this position is to perform welding operations in the manufacturing process of skylight component parts according to production standards and plans.

Shift Schedule: 1st shift 6:00am - 4:30pm Monday - Thursday

The primary purpose of this position is to perform welding operations in the manufacturing process of skylight component parts according to production standards and plans.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Performs the set-up and troubleshoots welding machine
- Tig welds aluminum component parts
- Reads and follows a daily production plan
- Performs other duties such as product assembly, inventory, etc.
- Ensures production, quality and safety standards are met
- Performs cleaning and maintaining of 5’s practices
- Performs other assignments as directed by local supervision
Shift Schedule: 1st shift 6:00am - 4:30pm Monday - Thursday
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred
- Ability to perform the essential functions assigned to the position
- Welding experience is required/Certification is preferred
- Understanding of metric and standard measurement systems is required
- 3-5 years experience in a production environment
- Must be able to work overtime and on weekends as needed, with short notice
- Forklift operator experience preferred
- Must be able to (but not limited to) tig weld aluminum components as thin as .027”
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work in hot conditions
- Must be able to use hand and power tools such as grinders, port-bands, and chop saws
- The desire and ability to work in a team environment demonstrated through a positive quality, safety, attendance and good work history
- Compliance with all rules of conduct, safety regulations and policies provided in Employee Handbooks, on Company bulletin boards/announcements, terms/conditions of employment or other means of communication is a requirement of the job.
