The role
Is a very exciting one, where you will be responsible for increasing market share and growing the VELUX skylight category throughout the assigned Charlotte territory.
The position develops, executes, and coordinates sales activities through key VELUX dealers and maintains relationships with dealers, builders, contractors, remodelers, roofers, and architects.
You are expected to identify new and expanded business opportunities, develop customer relationships, and support sales activities throughout the territory.
A strong field presence is essential to the role and some overnight travel (3-6 times per month) must be expected .
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for developing and executing an annual territory plan focused on the area's strongest opportunities for sales growth. This includes prospecting for new business, developing dealer and trade relationships, and conducting sales presentations that effectively promote VELUX product lines.
You will provide product training to dealers, builders, contractors, and architects, including guidance on the proper application and installation of VELUX products.
The position also supports contractors with in-home selling efforts and works with customers to identify opportunities for additional product sales.
Territory activities are managed within established budgets with a focus on controlling expenses and maximizing profitability. Required sales reports and analyses must be completed accurately and on time.
The position also provides field service support as needed and may assist other Sales Representatives with training sessions, field service activities, local trade shows, and other customer-facing events.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or previous trade school training combined with knowledge of the building industry preferred; previous sales experience is an advantage but not required.
