Velocity Rail Solutions is hiring CDL Class A drivers with Hazmat & Tanker endorsements to fuel locomotives at a dedicated rail facility. This is a stable, home daily, hands-on position with guaranteed hours, weekly pay, and year-round work.
Report to Location: Herington, Kansas
PAY & SCHEDULE
- $87,465 annually
- Home Daily
- 12-hour shifts (guaranteed full shift pay)
- Guaranteed 60-60-48 hour rotational schedule (year-round)
- Overtime paid after 40 hours
- Paid Weekly
- Paid Training
Hiring for multiple shifts. Must be available for nights, weekends, and holidays.
JOB OVERVIEW
- Fuel locomotives using hoses and fueling equipment
- 90–95% of work is performed outside the truck
- Load red dyed diesel into tanker from on site storage tank
- Work at a rail yard (no over-the-road driving)
- Paid for all on-duty time, including breaks and wait time
- Work in all weather conditions
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Safely fuel locomotives on an on-call dispatch basis
- Respond promptly to dispatches during your shift
- Complete fuel tickets and required documentation
- Perform pre- and post-trip inspections
- Follow all PPE and safety procedures
- Assist with light maintenance and site upkeep
REQUIREMENTS
- Class A CDL with Hazmat & Tanker endorsements
- Ability to pass railroad required background check and drug screen
- No DUI's or Careless or Reckless driving in 3 years
- No Clearinghouse Violations
- Reliable and able to work independently
- Willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Frequent climbing, bending, and kneeling
- Walking on uneven surfaces
- Climbing ladders and locomotive steps multiple times per shift
- Working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Lifting up to 50 lbs regularly
- Pulling hoses
