Entry-Level Accounting Assistant

We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Entry-Level Accounting Assistant to support a busy office environment for a privately owned group of related companies. This is a great opportunity for someone who has strong basic accounting skills, excellent organization, and a willingness to jump in, learn, and grow with the team.

The ideal candidate will be calm under pressure, comfortable working in an open office environment, and able to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Assist with accounts receivable and accounts payable duties
• Create and send customer invoices
• Contact customers regarding payment inquiries and follow-up
• Enter supplier invoices accurately and timely
• Maintain organized records and documentation
• Assist with data entry and administrative support as needed
• Use Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other office systems daily
• Support multiple companies under common ownership
• Communicate professionally with internal team members, customers, and vendors
• Help with additional accounting or office tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and Outlook
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and under pressure
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, open office environment
• Experience with NetSuite is a plus
• Some experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude is a plus
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn
