JOB SUMMARY: To perform machining operations as necessary to effect repairs or modifications to extrusion tooling as specified.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Operate Milling machines, CNC Milling machines, CNC Wire EDMS, CNC Sink EDM
- Program CNC machines through off-line software and through machine control as necessary.
- Operate Grinders and lathes
- Responsible for Polishing tools
- Responsible for assembling dies, calibrators and mechanical components
- Responsible for re-designing mechanical assemblies as necessary for efficiencies.
- Maintain clean and safe work environment
- All other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Ability to operate CNC equipment
Exposure to Tool and Die Technology
Assembly troubleshooting and Fitting
Benchwork and Polishing
Strong Math and Mechanical Aptitude
Oral communication skills, Drive and Initiative, Flexibility
Accuracy and Timeliness
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma, Vo-tech, or 2 yrs. Machining experience.
Tool & Die Maker Certification a plus.
Similarly skilled positions will be entertained.
Ability to work rotating shifts.
