- Drives fork truck carefully and safely; reports all incidents immediately to the Shift Supervisor or Superintendent.
- Unloads, strips, and cleans empty material handling racks, and removes box ends as they arrive from VEKA’s customers.
- Records empty rack numbers and MRA material on rack receipts.
- Delivers empty material handling racks to the production floor and moves material handling racks with VEKA products to the back lot.
- Responsible for loading material handling racks with scrap material and customer cut-off boxes onto trailers for recycling.
- Responsible for moving products and other objects as required by job assignment to various locations.
- Inspects condition of material handling racks and takes broken racks to maintenance for repair.
- Weighs customer cutoffs and production scrap.
- Maintains accurate clerical records.
- Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Good verbal skills.
- Certified fork truck operator license
- Dependability, accountability, and responsiveness are essential.
- Ability to work independently and with accuracy.
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude in high-pressure situations.
- Good collaboration skills in a tactful and diplomatic manner.
