Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
Operates assigned extruders to produce profiles that meet VEKA’s quality standards, including the proper set-up and start-up of production.
Responsible for making process adjustments as required to established running and quality specifications.
Responsible for entering dimensional and attribute checks into the internal BDE database throughout the shift at the required intervals.
Prepares samples for the Quality Department.
Responsible for proper packaging and correct quantities as described in stacking diagrams, whether the product is packaged in a Rack, Half-Rack, Box, Bundles or some other means and transferring a complete packaging unit of material including the correct barcode and green tag labels.
Responsible for the proper evenly stacked and segregated disposition of scrap profile in designated area
Responsible for notifying the Lead Tech of the number of scrap pieces during the shift for each profile.
Responsible for properly informing the Plant Lead Technician or Superintendent of any problems that may affect profile quality, safety, or extruder operation throughout the entire shift.
Responsible for properly documenting and displaying all processing parameters and verifying that nothing has changed on all production lines, such as melt pressure, temperature, actual vent, barrel & die zones.
Responsible for the overall housekeeping of the assigned lines while on shift to ensure the safety of you and your co-workers.
Assists the Lead Tech and/or Superintendent throughout the shift.
Supports Production Support and Material Handler as needed
All other duties as assigned.
