What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant position at Vein Clinics of Hawaii?
Vein Clinics of Hawaii provides modern venous treatment throughout the State of Hawaii. We are a patient-centered clinic that strives to provide our patients with excellent care while offering the most advance treatement methods available. We have 6 locations statewide and are currently looking for a part time Medical Assistant based in our Waimea office. The position would also be required to work from time to time out of our office in Hilo. The position has the potential to become full time with the right candidate.
Duties include, but are not limited to: taking vitals, assist physician with office visits and non-invasive office procedures, dressing changes, ordering of medical supplies, calling in rx, generating referrals to outside resources, communicating with MD's and patients for continuity of care, working closely with various health insurance prior authorizations, scheduling, answering phones, verifying insurance and other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate must possess strong work ethics and time management skills, be able to work independently with minimal supervision, eager and productive team player, very organized, honest, mature, responsible and reliable. Must be willing to commute to other office location periodically.
