Responsibilities Of The HR Generalist
The Human Resources Generalist supports day-to-day HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, payroll coordination, compliance, and HR operations.
- Assist with recruitment activities including job postings, resume screening, interview coordination, and offer preparation
- Conduct new hire onboarding and coordinate new employee orientation programs
- Serve as a point of contact for employee HR inquiries and assist in resolving workplace issues
- Support performance management processes including evaluations and corrective actions
- Administer employee benefit programs and act as liaison with benefit providers
- Assist employees with benefit questions and coordinate open enrollment activities
- Assist with payroll processing for weekly and semimonthly payroll cycles
- Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data to ensure compliance and reporting accuracy
- Support HR policy implementation and ensure adherence to federal and state employment regulations
- Coordinate employee training sessions and track participation and completion
- Support career development and employee engagement initiatives
- Assist leadership with HR projects and operational HR initiatives
- 4-year college degree or equivalent experience.
- 2 4 years of Human Resources Generalist or multi-functional HR experience supporting areas such as recruiting, employee relations, benefits administration, HR operations, and payroll coordination.
- Hands-on experience with HRIS systems (e.g., ADP, Workday, BambooHR).
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Working knowledge of employment law and HR compliance including federal and state employment regulations and HR best practices.
- Must be organized, people-focused, and passionate about contributing to a positive workplace culture.
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
