Position Overview
We are seeking Operators to support operations at a non-union industrial distribution facility. The Operator will be responsible for safely loading materials, operating industrial equipment, and supporting maintenance and safety procedures in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Load dry materials and chemical products into trucks safely and efficiently
- Operate mobile and heavy equipment including skid-steer and high-reach equipment
- Perform basic preventive maintenance on trucks and loading stations
- Work on docks and docked barges, including opening and closing barges
- Train on and follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
- Report unsafe conditions, incidents, or accidents promptly
- Participate in safety meetings and required training
- Demonstrate reliability, teamwork, and a willingness to learn
Schedule
- Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Starting in March, schedule transitions to 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) for approximately 7 weeks during peak season
- Overtime available
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Entry-level experience in industrial, chemical, or manufacturing operations preferred
- 1–2 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment preferred
- Experience operating mobile or industrial equipment is a plus
- Valid driver’s license
- Basic computer skills
- Comfortable with basic math
- Able to read, write, and understand basic English
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
Compliance Requirements
- Must be eligible to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
- No felony convictions (per TWIC requirements)
- TWIC must be obtained prior to start; assistance may be available
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally
- Ability to climb stairs and work at heights
- Ability to wear a respirator
- Ability to work overtime, rotating shifts, and 12-hour shifts as required
- Must be able to safely perform job duties without posing a safety risk to self or others

- Steel-toe boots required (employee-provided)
- All other PPE will be provided
