Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a professional environment. As a Dental Assistant, you will assist the dentist during various treatments and ensure that the dental office operates smoothly. We are willing to train the right person. We are looking for 4-5 days per week, ideally.
Duties
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment before and after procedures.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records using Open Dental software.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow within the office.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the dental clinic.
Skills
- Proficiency in dental terminology and knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry.
- Experience in prosthodontics, pediatric dentistry, general dentistry, and four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Familiarity with dental assisting protocols and practices within a clinical setting.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
