Director – New Business Development (Payments)

VDart has been retained on an exclusive basis by our customer to conduct an executive search for Sales Hunter (Director) - Payments. We are looking for a high-impact Sales Hunter to drive net-new revenue growth within Payment’s verticals. This is a pure hunting role focused on new logo acquisition and strategic deal closure, targeting banks, financial institutions, and payment ecosystem players.

Role Overview

Position : Director – New Business Development (Payments)

Location :Atlanta, GA

Position Type: Full-Time


Key Responsibilities

  • Drive end-to-end sales for net-new logos across Payments industry
  • Build and execute a targeted go-to-market strategy for acquiring new clients
  • Identify and close opportunities across AI-led consulting, data, engineering, and managed services
  • Position capabilities in:

➢ Core platform modernization

➢ Payment’s transformation

➢ Data and AI-driven solutions


  • Leverage deep understanding of the FIS/payments ecosystem to engage clients effectively • Build CXO-level relationships across business and technology stakeholders
  • Collaborate with internal solution, delivery, and AI Lab teams to craft differentiated proposals
  • Own pipeline development, forecasting, and deal execution discipline


Required Experience

  • 10 years of enterprise services sales experience in banking, capital markets, or payments
  • Strong track record in hunting roles (new logo acquisition)
  • Proven success in selling services-led engagements (consulting, digital engineering, or IT services) • Demonstrated achievement of revenue and booking targets
  • Deep understanding of: Payments ecosystem (issuers, acquirers, processors, fintechs)
  • FIS and broader financial technology landscape


Key Skills & Competencies

  • Experience selling IT managed services into Tier 1 / Tier 2 banks, capital markets firms, or major payment processors
  • Strong executive presence with a consultative driven sales approach
  • Strong hunter mindset with a focus on building pipeline from scratch
  • Ability to translate domain and engineering capabilities into business outcomes
  • Results-driven with high accountability and ownership
