Duties
- Lead the planning, execution, and closing of construction projects, ensuring adherence to schedules and budgets using tools like Primavera P6 and HeavyBid.
- Coordinate project teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to facilitate seamless communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop detailed project schedules, resource allocations, and cost estimates utilizing construction estimating techniques and Primavera software.
- Review blueprints, schematics, contracts, and construction documents to ensure clarity and compliance with design specifications and safety regulations.
- Monitor construction site activities to ensure quality workmanship, safety protocols, and adherence to project plans using Civil 3D and other construction management software.
- Manage procurement processes, including bid evaluations and contract negotiations with vendors and subcontractors.
- Track project progress through regular site visits, progress reports, and updates in project management systems; proactively address issues or delays as they arise.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction management with a strong background in heavy civil or commercial projects; site experience is essential.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Civil 3D, HeavyBid, and other construction management software.
- Solid understanding of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, contracts administration, and construction estimating.
- Excellent project scheduling skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously while managing time effectively.
- Strong knowledge of construction site safety standards and regulations; ability to enforce safety protocols consistently.
- Effective communication skills for liaising with clients, contractors, vendors, and team members at all levels.
