VCA McClave Animal Hospital is seeking an Experienced Veterinary Client Service Representative to join our team, full- time. Experience in the veterinary field is required. The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.28, and is commensurate with experience.

We are a busy, General Practice/Urgent Care hospital with multiple doctors and a wide range of presenting cases. The right candidate will be able to multi-task, work in a fast-paced environment, be empathetic, consistent and responsive to our clients, advocate for our patients and work cohesively with the team to help provide world-class medicine and hometown care.
As the face of VCA, the Client Service Representative sets the tone for the practice as we build and maintain each customer's trust and confidence in our abilities. The CSR is the pivot around which the hospital operates and is responsible for:
All client service representatives are expected to work one closing shift per week, as well as one weekend shift per week. This requirement helps our team to be more adept regarding hospital flow and the needs of our clients, throughout the day- and it helps to keep things equal, so no one team member is shouldering an uneven load.

- Customer service functions, including: greeting visitors, answering telephones, and guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms.
- Scheduling and confirming appointments.
- Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients.
- Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments.
- Recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions.
- Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care (i.e., heartworm prevention, housebreaking, and flea & tick control).
- Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence
- Hospital maintenance (including removal of animal waste), cleaning and sanitizing common areas and exam rooms between visits, maintaining and adhering to infection control standards set in place by all regulatory agencies, and ensuring personal workspaces and the facility is neat and clean at all times—both inside and outside.
