Tier II Desktop Engineer

In this dynamic role as a Desktop Specialist, you will provide essential technical support to end users, ranging from frontline staff to executives. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve troubleshooting desktop systems and applications, engaging in the employee lifecycle management from onboarding to offboarding, and taking charge of printer services. You will work primarily in an office setting alongside a collaborative team, contributing to IT-related projects that enhance your technical skills while ensuring high standards of service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deploy desktop application software and provide support for end users at all levels, ensuring their needs are met efficiently.

• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents for desktop systems both remotely and in person to maintain productivity across the organization.

• Manage the employee lifecycle from onboarding to termination, ensuring all IT-related processes are followed accurately.

• Handle inventory management for desktop hardware and software, ensuring all resources are tracked and accounted for effectively.

• Engage in IT-related projects that support personal growth and enhance team performance, fostering a continuous learning environment.

Requirements:

• Proven experience providing technical assistance to staff at all levels, including C-Suite executives, in a professional environment.

• Demonstrated capability in managing the employee lifecycle, particularly in IT onboarding and offboarding processes.

• Strong awareness of service level agreements (SLAs) and the ability to navigate escalation paths judiciously for timely resolutions.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team, showing flexibility and initiative to tackle challenges.

• Critical thinking skills that enable effective troubleshooting of complex technical issues in real-time.
