Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (RN L&D)
Location: Morristown, NJ 07960
Job Type: Contract – 13 Weeks (Possible Extension)
Shift: Days & Nights | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM & 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Hours: 36 Hours/Week
Schedule: Alternating Weekends & Holidays, only if required
Compensation:
- Local Pay (under 50 miles): $78/hour on W2
- Travel Pay (over 50 miles): $3,096 Weekly Gross in which Taxable: $1,535/week & Non-Taxable: $1,561/week
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (RN L&D) to provide compassionate, high-quality care to patients throughout labor, delivery, and the postpartum period. The ideal candidate should have strong L&D experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced maternal and newborn care environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients during labor, delivery, and the postpartum period.
- Monitor maternal and fetal conditions and recognize changes requiring immediate intervention.
- Assist physicians and other healthcare professionals during labor and delivery procedures.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols.
- Monitor fetal heart rate and other relevant maternal/fetal assessments.
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
- Follow infection control, patient safety, and hospital policies.
- Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- NRP certification required
- Active RN license applicable to New Jersey
- Strong clinical, communication, and patient-care skills
- Valid Driver’s License required for travelers
Assignment Details:
- 13-week contract with possible extension
- Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM & 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 36 hours per week
- Alternating weekends and holidays may be required
- Local and travel compensation options available
Pay: Up to $3,096.00 per week
