ICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shift | Direct Hire
Location: McDonough District Hospital, Macomb, IL 61455
Job Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
Shift: 12-Hour Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Hours: 36 hours per week
Salary Range: $34–$54 per hour
Unit: 7-Bed ICU | Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:2
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients.
- Monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to clinical changes.
- Manage and titrate critical care drips, including Cardizem, Levophed, and insulin.
- Care for patients with COPD, AFib, postoperative complications, diabetes, GI bleeds, and other acute conditions.
- Interpret cardiac rhythms and manage continuous patient monitoring.
- Collaborate with physicians, hospitalists, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary care team.
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow patient safety protocols.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; ICU experience strongly preferred.
- Current RN license applicable to the position.
- CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (may be obtained onsite).
- Critical thinking, assessment, and emergency response skills.
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and rotating weekends.
