SUMMARY

Scheduling is the link between Customer Service and Production. Effective communication is crucial for

On Time Delivery, Customer Satisfaction and an effective Production execution.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:

  • Responsible for production scheduling of all incoming customer orders and customer pulls from min/max inventories.
  • Analyzes production specifications and plant capacity to schedule all incoming orders to meet agreed upon delivery dates and generate the necessary reports.
  • Develop priority list for supervisors to guide daily production requirements and job assignments for critical presses.
  • Participate in resource planning from materials and employees to press capacity. Identify constraints and participate in problem solving discussions.
  • Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
  • Schedule downtime for such activities as mold cleaning, engineering samples, and preventive maintenance.
  • Provide backup support to the customer service team and S-Bios Website orders.
  • Prepares lists of required materials, tools, and equipment (capacity requirements) and enhances project efficiency with material and color alignment
  • Other duties as assigned.

SCHEDULING RESOPNSIBILITIUES

  • Schedule the manufacturing operations to fully utilize the equipment, manpower and facilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or five years related experience and/or

training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in a lean manufacturing facility and

master scheduling.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS 

  • Effectively use scheduling software.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents.
  • Effective and understandable professional written and verbal communication skills in handling customer complaints, and communicating with regulatory agencies, employees or members of the business community.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to understand and write instructions, short correspondence, and memos. 
  • Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization with varying communication styles and appropriately respond to questions.
  • Above average computer skills.
  • Math competence with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, fundamentals of planes, and solid geometry and trigonometry and the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Math aptitude to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Competence is solving practical problems and deal with a variety of variables where only limited standardization or data exists.
  • Able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables that impact manufacturing efficiencies.
  • Working in an environment exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, vibrations, and noise levels that are considered moderate to loud.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize priorities simultaneously.
