We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Compliance Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical billing, audits, physician credentialing, MIPS and compliance management. The Compliance Specialist will play a key role in maintaining regulatory compliance and overseeing quality assurance processes to uphold the integrity of our services.
Duties
- Develop, implement, and maintain compliance programs aligned with regulations and industry standards.
- Create and monitor processes to ensure adherence to protocols.
- Conduct internal audits to identify compliance gaps and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project management tasks related to compliance initiatives.
- Stay current with evolving regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on compliance policies and procedures.
- Prepare detailed reports for management regarding compliance status and areas for improvement.
- Credential providers - verifying and managing documentation for audits, communicating with providers and payers, and monitoring renewals.
- Guiding providers and staff in meeting Medicare's Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) requirements, acting as a subject matter expert to optimize performance, ensure data accuracy, and submit quality metrics to CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) to maximize reimbursements and avoid penalties.
