Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Safety Compliance Manager to oversee and enhance our organization's safety protocols and occupational health standards. This full-time position plays a critical role in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and workers' compensation laws. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in safety training, report writing, root cause analysis, and injury prevention strategies within a manufacturing or industrial environment. As a key leader in our safety initiatives, you will develop and implement comprehensive safety programs that promote a safe working environment for all employees.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies and procedures aligned with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory standards.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance across all departments.
- Lead incident investigations using root cause analysis to determine underlying issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Manage workers' compensation claims process in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Provide training & development sessions on occupational health, EHS practices, first aid, CPR, OSHA standards, and other relevant topics.
- Maintain accurate safety documentation, including incident reports, compliance records, and audit findings.
- Coordinate emergency response plans and ensure staff are trained in first aid and CPR procedures.
- Collaborate with management to foster a culture of safety awareness throughout the organization.
- Stay current on industry regulations related to environmental health & safety (EHS) and incorporate best practices into company policies.
Experience
- Proven experience in manufacturing or industrial safety management roles.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, workers' compensation law, EPA standards, and occupational health principles.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct report writing, root cause analysis, and safety audits effectively.
- Prior experience in training & development related to workplace safety is highly desirable.
- Certifications such as First Aid & CPR certification are required; additional certifications in OSHA or EHS are preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to train staff at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to analyze complex safety issues and develop practical solutions to mitigate risks. This position offers an opportunity to lead impactful safety initiatives that protect employees while fostering a proactive safety culture within our organization.
Pay: $52,000.00 - $59,200.00 per year
