MAKE AN IMPACT — What you'll do
- Own accounts receivable processes, including payment application, account reconciliations, aging analysis, collections follow-up, and resolution of outstanding balances.
- Investigate unapplied cash, payment discrepancies, account variances, and other financial issues; determine appropriate next steps and escalate when needed.
- Use receivables aging and account trends to recommend collection priorities and practical account-resolution strategies.
- Partner with customers, internal stakeholders, and banking contacts to resolve financial matters and support deposits, payment processing, and account-related activities.
- Use QuickBooks to maintain financial records, process transactions, reconcile accounts, and generate accurate reports.
- Support month-end and year-end accounting activities, including reconciliations, financial reporting, and preparation of information for the Financial Controller.
- Assist management with financial analysis and special projects, and review financial information to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain complete, accurate financial documentation and records in accordance with Company policies and accounting practices.
- Recommend and implement improvements that strengthen accuracy, efficiency, timely collections, and the reliability of financial information.
- Cross-train or provide guidance to team members supporting collections and receivables, helping promote consistent practices.
- Handle confidential financial and business information with discretion and support special finance projects as assigned.
EXPERIENCE THAT MATTERS — What you'll bring
- At least three years of progressively responsible experience in accounts receivable, accounting, bookkeeping, finance, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with payment application, account reconciliation, collections, aging, and financial reporting.
- Experience using QuickBooks or similar accounting software, plus strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Working knowledge of general accounting principles and the discipline to maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify discrepancies, investigate root causes, and independently recommend solutions.
- Strong organization, follow-through, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a hands-on environment.
- Clear, professional communication with customers, banking partners, vendors, finance leadership, and non-finance stakeholders.
ADDED VALUE — Preferred background
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
