Responsibilities/Functions
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders related to elevator door assemblies.
- Measure, grind and drill tap sheet metal fabricate elevator doors, frames and cabshells.
- Operate machines such as press brakes, shears, CNC punches, and welding equipment as needed.
- Assemble cab components including panels.
- Perform quality control checks to ensure finished products meet specifications and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with engineers and design teams to resolve fabrication challenges.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Track production and report any discrepancies or equipment issues to the supervisor.
Skills & Experience
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in metal fabrication, welding, or related field.
- Familiarity with tape measurer, tools and machinery used in sheet metal fabrication.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems and safety practices.
- Experience specifically in elevator component manufacturing.
Additional Information
· 7am – 5:30pm, Mon – Thu (excluding federal holidays)
- Manufacturing floor setting, exposure to machinery noise and metalworking processes.
- Regular lifting of materials up to 80 lbs. using proper lifting techniques including (2) person lifting.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Compensation & Benefits:
· $20 - $27 per hour commensurate with experience & education
· Medical benefits available after 60 days
· 3 weeks paid PTO per year, accrued bi-weekly
· 5 paid holidays per year
