A leading Florida commercial elevator design, remodeling & manufacturing firm is seeking a highly organized and reliable Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team at Vasile Elevator Inc. As a Shipping and Receiving Clerk, you will play a crucial role in maintaining an efficient and organized shipping and receiving process. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including cleaning the shop facility, managing hardware inventory, building crates for shipments, assisting different departments of the shop, and handling tools.
Responsibilities/Functions
• Clean the shop facility regularly to ensure a safe and organized working environment.
• Construct crates and packaging materials for shipments, ensuring that they meet the required standards for safe transportation.
• Assist various departments within the shop with tasks as needed, providing support and contributing to overall operational efficiency.
• Operate a forklift to move and transport materials safely and efficiently.
• Demonstrate proficiency in handling various tools, equipment, and machinery.
• Make deliveries/pick ups
• Keep Inventory Current
Skills & Experience
• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in shipping and receiving or a related field is preferred.
• Experience operating a forklift is required.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in using basic computer applications, such as MS Office.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects – minimum of 50lbs..
• Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.
Additional Information
Hours
· 7am – 5:30pm, Mon – Thu (excluding federal holidays).
Compensation/Benefits
· Medical benefits available after 60 days
· 3 weeks paid vacation per year, accrued bi-weekly
· 5 paid holidays per year
Compensation: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
