Job Overview
Vascular Wellness Institute is seeking an experienced, detailed-oriented senior medical billing/coder specialist to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately coding, processing insurance claims, and ensuring the seamless revenue cycle management, denials, and A/R. Your expertise will help optimize billing processes, improve cash flow, and ensure compliance with medical coding guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Review documentation and assign or validate ICD-10/LCD, CPT codes, HCPCS, and modifiers in accordance with current coding guidelines.
- Ensure accurate documentation of diagnoses, procedures, and services for inpatient and outpatient encounters.
- Process insurance claims efficiently using EMR/EHR eClinicalWorks and Waystar
- Manage accounts receivable by following up on unpaid or denied claims through medical collection processes.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation discrepancies or coding issues to maximize reimbursement.
- Utilize EMR/EHR systems for electronic health record management, billing, coding, and claim submission.
- Keep complete account notes and track clean claims, denials, and days in A/R
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and play a crucial role in delivering efficient healthcare billing solutions that support patient care excellence!
Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour
