Job Summary:
The Engineering Manager is in charge of technical execution in design, development, troubleshooting, and problem resolution of Parks’ Doppler ultrasound product line. This leader, with 2-4 direct reports, is a “boots on the ground” manager, capable of doing direct design as well as directing others, including outside resources.This role is also a key communications point with multiple other areas of the company. Parks requires a solid leader with a track record of developing and mentoring young talent, elevating company culture, understanding technical capabilities and limitations, and translating market requirements into industry-leading product.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the engineering and drafting departments.
- Lead and manage the activities of engineering resources in the development of new products. Work with management on the definition of product requirements for new products. Oversee new design and development. Ensure new design and development meets standards and regulatory requirements of Parks.
- Design analog/mixed-signal circuits for Doppler ultrasound systems (front-end, ADCs, amplifiers, beamforming).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software, firmware, and mechanical engineering.
- Ensure compliance with medical device standards (IEC 60601, ISO 13485).
- Own schematic capture, PCB layout reviews, board bring-up, and verification testing.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Support design for manufacturing, reliability testing, and root cause analysis.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering
- 4 years in analog/digital circuit design; medical device experience preferred
- Expertise in high-speed signal design, analog filtering, and ultrasound system electronics
- Familiarity with Ki-Cad, SPICE, MATLAB, and test instrumentation
- Experience with regulatory compliance (FDA, IEC 60601, ISO 14971)
- Strong background in project management, new product introduction (NPI) initiatives, and technical team leadership.
- Ability to troubleshoot analog, digital and mixed signal circuits down to the component level.
- Knowledgeable in Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
