What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior/Principal Quality Engineer-2 Positions (Med Device Experience Required) position at Med Device QA?
Currently looking to fill two full-time Senior/Principal Quality Engineering positions in Carlsbad (position level dependent on amount of experience). One of the positions is focused on Design Quality Engineering (NPI/NPD) and the other positions is focused on Sustaining Quality Engineering activities.
PREVIOUS QUALITY ENGINEERING EXPERIENCE IN THE MEDICAL DEVICE INDUSTRY IS REQUIRED.
Senior/Principal Design Quality Engineer
Required Experience
- 4 years of quality engineering experience in medical device (Senior-level); 7 years of quality engineering experience in medical device (Principal-level)
- Strong experience with Design Controls and Risk Management
- Quality Engineering experience with class II or class III medical devices
- Bachelor's Degree
Nice to Have Experience
- Experience with either cardiac/cardiovascular medical devices or experience with medical device capital equipment
- Quality Engineering experience with electronic medical devices
Senior/Principal Sustaining Quality Engineer
Required Experience
- 4 years of quality engineering experience in medical device (Senior-level); 7 years of quality engineering experience in medical device (Principal-level)
- Experience with Validations (Process, Equipment, TMC), statistical analysis (SPC), CAPA management, FMEAs and failure investigations
- Quality Engineering experience with class II or class III medical devices
Nice to Have Experience
- Experience with either cardiac/cardiovascular medical devices or experience with medical device capital equipment
- Experience working with suppliers on process/product quality improvements

Salary : $115,000 - $175,000
