Duties
- Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and facilitate efficient check-in and check-out processes using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- Collect and record vital signs, patient history, and current medications accurately to support clinical assessments.
- Assist healthcare providers with clinical procedures such as taking EKGs, and performing basic life support when necessary.
- Prepare examination rooms by ensuring cleanliness, sterilization, and readiness for patient visits or procedures.
- Manage appointment scheduling, patient intake documentation, and follow-up communications to optimize clinic flow.
- Updating patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Handle administrative tasks including answering phones, managing referrals, verifying insurance coverage, and maintaining organized medical records.
Skills
- Proven experience in cardiology, or vascular surgery with a strong understanding of medical terminology and physiology.
- Familiarity with EHR systems and medical administrative support functions to streamline patient flow and record accuracy.
- Knowledge of various specialties such as cardiology, and vascular surgery
- Ability to perform clinical duties such as vital signs collection, intake assessments, basic EKGs, , and emergency response including basic life support certification.
- Strong interpersonal skills to deliver excellent patient service while maintaining professionalism in fast-paced environments
- Experience with anatomy knowledge relevant to diverse medical specialties.
- Ability to adapt quickly to different healthcare settings such as medical-surgical units or specialized clinics like cardiology.
