Job Summary
Vascular Clinic PLLC is seeking a bilingual (Spanish/English) Medical Assistant to join our new Lake Mary location. This role combines clinical support and front-office coordination and is ideal for a motivated, detail-oriented medical assistant with strong experience in eClinicalWorks.
The position involves rooming patients, scheduling visits, managing follow-ups, obtaining insurance pre-authorizations, and supporting a busy outpatient vascular surgery practice. Prior vascular or cardiovascular experience is preferred, but strong EHR and workflow skills are essential.
Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Duties
- Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical history, and medication lists
- Prepare exam rooms and assist during physician evaluations
- Support outpatient vascular care visits
- Ensure accurate documentation in eClinicalWorks
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant clinical environment
Administrative & Front Office Duties
- Greet patients and manage check-in/check-out
- Schedule new and follow-up appointments
- Coordinate referrals, imaging, and lab orders
- Obtain insurance authorizations and pre-approvals
- Manage patient follow-ups and communications
- Assist with ICD-10 coding and encounter documentation
Required Qualifications
- Fluent in Spanish and English (required)
- Minimum 2 years of experience using eClinicalWorks (required)
- At least 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and outpatient workflows
- Experience with scheduling, referrals, and insurance authorizations
- Excellent patient service and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in vascular surgery, cardiology, or surgical specialties
- Familiarity with payer authorization workflows
- BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
