We are seeking a full-time Rail Loader to be responsible for the safe and efficient loading and unloading of vehicles up to 12 rail cars per day. They must adhere to strict safety guidelines and may also be required to perform inspections and maintenance tasks.

- Physically capable, detail-oriented
- Familiar with the safety protocols and operating procedures of rail yard environment
- Excellent attendance and reliability are critical.
- Identify vehicles to be loaded, moving them to and into rail cars and ensuring vehicles are properly parked.
- Set hand brakes on all rail cars.
- Properly install the chocks on vehicles and apply the seal on the rail car doors once doors are shut.
- Identify and report potential day-to-day operational quality issues and potential improvements.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license
- Working accurately & efficiently on individual assignments or as an active team member
- Excellent attendance and reliability are critical.
- Must be customer focus.
- Must be able to take directions and act accordingly.
- Must be dependable to meet job requirements.
This Position Requires The Following Physical Demands
- Lifting to 25 lbs.1-3 hrs. Throughout the day
- Standing 6-8 hours/day
- Walking, 6-8 hrs./day
- Reach above shoulder level 1-3 hrs./day.
- Bend, Stoop, Squat, and or twist-Repeatedly throughout day.
- Have natural or corrected eyesight capable of conducting inspections in varying levels of light.
- Have normal range of hearing, or corrected hearing, to be able to respond to normal workplace sounds including approaching vehicles.
On The Job The Employee
- May be exposed to excessive noise depending on job location and operations in progress
- May be around moving machinery and equipment on a daily basis
- Depending on work location, may be exposed to marked changes in temperature and/or humidity
- May be exposed to dust, fumes, gases, radiation, chemicals depending on the work location
- May be required to drive motorized equipment depending on the work location
- Potentially walks on uneven ground
- May be required to drive motorized equipment such as golf cart or company vehicle
