Power Apps Developer

Varmoda is seeking a motivated Power Apps Developer to support enterprise digital modernization and business process automation initiatives. This role will design, develop, and maintain Microsoft Power Platform solutions that replace manual workflows with secure, scalable, cloud-based applications and automation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, SharePoint, and Microsoft 365 technologies, enabling efficient operations, workflow optimization, and data management within a regulated business environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain solutions using Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate.
• Create scalable and maintainable business applications that streamline operational workflows and improve efficiency.
• Develop automation solutions that eliminate manual processes and improve process accuracy.
• Translate business requirements into low-code and no-code solutions that align with organizational objectives.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to application functionality, performance, integrations, and workflow execution.
• Maintain and enhance existing Power Platform applications and automation processes.
• Design, develop, and support Power Automate cloud flows and business process flows.
• Automate operational processes, approvals, notifications, document routing, and data-management activities.
• Monitor automation performance and optimize workflows to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Implement error-handling, logging, notification, and monitoring mechanisms.
• Support ongoing process improvement initiatives through workflow automation and optimization.
• Document automation logic, dependencies, configurations, and support procedures.
• Build responsive Canvas Apps optimized for desktop, mobile, and tablet devices.
• Develop and maintain Model-Driven Apps supporting structured business workflows and data management.
• Create user-friendly interfaces that improve usability, productivity, and adoption.
• Design solutions that support role-based security and business-process requirements.
• Configure forms, views, dashboards, business rules, and workflow automation.
• Ensure applications meet usability, accessibility, security, and performance standards.
• Design and maintain Microsoft Dataverse data models and related platform components.
• Configure relational tables, business rules, relationships, validations, and security settings.
• Support data integrity, governance, and lifecycle management within the Power Platform environment.
• Develop and maintain integrations between Dataverse, SharePoint, and supporting enterprise systems.
• Perform data analysis, troubleshooting, validation, and maintenance activities.
• Support migration and modernization activities involving business data and legacy processes.
• Develop advanced Power Fx formulas and expressions to support business requirements.
• Implement custom JavaScript where appropriate to extend platform functionality and improve user experience.
• Configure validation rules, conditional logic, calculations, and dynamic form behavior.
• Optimize forms for accuracy, usability, and operational efficiency.
• Develop reusable components and standards to support future solution development.
• Ensure business logic aligns with organizational policies and operational requirements.
• Design and support integrations with APIs, external systems, and enterprise platforms.
• Configure and manage solution packages, environment variables, connection references, and deployment components.
• Support development, testing, user acceptance testing, and production deployment activities.
• Promote solutions through approved release-management processes.
• Troubleshoot integration issues and support ongoing platform operations.
• Maintain deployment documentation, configuration records, and release histories.
• Work closely with business stakeholders, developers, analysts, and project teams to gather and refine requirements.
• Participate in design discussions, technical reviews, testing activities, and solution demonstrations.
• Ensure solutions comply with organizational governance, security, and operational standards.
• Support knowledge transfer, training, and documentation activities.
• Contribute to platform best practices, development standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of professional application development experience.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience designing, developing, and deploying solutions using Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate.
• Strong experience building Canvas Apps and Model-Driven Apps.
• Experience developing and maintaining Power Automate cloud flows and business process automation solutions.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Dataverse architecture, relational data modeling, and security configuration.
• Experience integrating applications with APIs and external systems.
• Strong understanding of relational database concepts and data management principles.
• Experience working with JSON data structures and text manipulation.
• Experience performing application testing, troubleshooting, deployment, and maintenance activities.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet project deadlines.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience supporting digital transformation, workflow automation, or business process modernization initiatives.
• Familiarity with SharePoint integration and Microsoft 365 ecosystem technologies.
• Experience working in government, public-sector, financial services, insurance, healthcare, or other regulated environments.
• Experience supporting secure cloud-based business applications.
• Familiarity with Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies, governance controls, and low-code platform security practices.
• Experience with Azure services, Microsoft Entra ID, or Power Platform administration.
• Knowledge of accessibility, usability, and enterprise application design standards.
