Secondary IB Business and Computer Science Teacher 26 27

Qualifications 

• Valid Secondary Michigan teaching certificate preferred.
• CTE Certification Requirement-  Candidates must meet one of the following:
• Hold a valid Michigan CTE teaching certificate in Business, Finance or Marketing, 

                                 OR

• Be eligible to obtain an Annual Career Authorization, which requires documentation of at least 4,000 hours of relevant industry experience.
• Industry experience should be in one or more of the following areas: Business Management or Marketing or Finance and Computer Science
• Ability or willingness to teach AP Computer Science.  Training may be required.  
• IB experience and / or training preferred.
• Advanced Placement (AP) experience and/or training preferred.
• Successful experience working with/instructing secondary students preferred.
• Applicants must possess strong interpersonal skills and a strong desire to promote student success. 

Description 

• Provide high quality instruction that supports and aligns to the district's educational vision and mission.
• Facilitate an environment that fosters the learning of all students.
• Remain knowledgeable of educational standards and strategies to meet the academic, developmental and social emotional needs of students.
• Assess and modify instructional practice leading toward increased student achievement.
• Utilize educational technology to support student’s instruction and learning.
• Establish and maintain positive and effective relationships with students, peers, parents and community.
• This is a split building position requiring travel between the IB program and another secondary school.
