Position Overview
This role oversees production operations to ensure timely and accurate completion of customer orders in alignment with Planning and SAP/FLX systems. It ensures employees and temporary staff are properly trained, identifies and mitigates single points of failure through cross-training, and applies LEAN principles to improve processes and achieve KPIs. The position also supports quality standards by working within the QM System to drive continuous improvement and organizational growth.

The position also supports quality standards by working within the QM System to drive continuous improvement and organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure proper manpower to meet the production schedule. Manage time off and other leave request in relation to the production schedule.
- Respond to capacity adjustments by developing a cross trained and flexible work force
- Alert leadership to challenges that may; prevent Production from meeting the schedule
- Ensure the Production floor is audit and visitor ready (i.e. 6S)
- Seek, engage in and execute improvement activities that support better flow in Production
- Communicate as appropriate, the status of work orders to Planning, Account Management and leadership
- Communicate, develop and encourage the Production team
- Lead and support the supervisors for SMT and Secondary Operations
- Ensure the adequate equipment, tools and fixtures are available to Production.
- Responsible that the preventative and sustaining maintenance is completed as appropriate for machines and equipment
- Coordinate support from Engineering or the customer with Account Management to address challenging boards or tester equipment
- Ensure Operations metrics are met
- Conduct shop floor standard meetings and ad hoc meetings as needed
- Drive problem solving and root cause analysis as appropriate to address metric misses
- Ensure proper use of SAP and FLX in Production
- Provide Planning and Technical with correct cycle times and process feedback to maintain SAP and FLX
- Full accountability for production operations and daily operational goals
- 5 years minimum of Manufacturing Manager/Production Manager experience
- 10 years of technical experience
- Familiarity with relevant manufacturing processes
- Familiarity with LEAN Manufacturing concepts
- SAP experience preferred
- Associates degree or equivalent experience
- Microsoft Office - Excel
