Print & Digital Ad Specialist

Variety Wholesalers is seeking a collaborative and detail-oriented Print & Digital Advertising Specialist to support both the Roses and Big Lots divisions. Reporting to the Manager, Print & Digital Advertising, this role supports the planning, creation, production, and distribution of weekly print and digital advertising while helping ensure campaigns are accurate, on brand, and delivered on time.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable managing multiple deadlines, and able to work effectively across Merchandising, Marketing, Store Operations, and external partners. This role supports the advertising process from concept through final production, including gathering product information and imagery, coordinating proofs and revisions, and helping deliver compelling, value-driven advertising across both brands.

Key Responsibilities

Print & Digital Advertising

• Support the planning, creation, production, and distribution of print and digital advertising for both divisions.
• Assist with advertising briefs, wireframes, production schedules, proof distribution, and revision tracking.
• Partner with Merchandising teams to gather featured products, pricing, product details, and imagery for upcoming advertising.
• Review pricing, product information, messaging, and creative for accuracy and brand consistency.
• Coordinate production of print ads, digital ads, signage, ad blocks, private label art packs, business cards, and store opening and closing collateral.
• Work with internal teams, printers, and external vendors to support advertising production and delivery.
• Maintain project files, schedules, documentation, and approvals throughout the production process.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proofread advertising materials and assist with quality assurance prior to final production.

Additional Responsibilities

• Support the Manager, Print & Digital Advertising with day-to-day advertising projects and production needs.
• Partner with Marketing, Merchandising, and Store Operations on advertising and promotional initiatives.
• Help identify opportunities to improve workflows, organization, and production efficiency.
• Support cross-functional projects in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in retail advertising, print production, marketing, graphic production, or a related field preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and project coordination skills.
• Strong attention to detail and proofreading skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet established deadlines.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments and external partners.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in retail or value-driven brands.
• Knowledge of print production and digital advertising workflows.
• Experience working with Merchandising or product teams.
• Experience coordinating proofs, revisions, production files, and vendor deliverables.
• Strong proofreading and quality assurance skills.
