SUMMARY
The MIS administrator will be the subject matter expert of the MIS implementation at Hatteras. The Administrator will be responsible for overall performance and installation, including identifying system problems, training and scheduling timelines to align with the company’s operational objectives. You will work in tandem with the accounting team, purchasing and manufacturing teams to ensure all systems are seamlessly integrated and accurate.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate internal resources and third-party vendors for the flawless execution of the implementation project. Act as the primary point of contact for all MIS related inquiries, troubleshooting and administration.
- Develop a detailed project plan to review with the leadership team and track system progress and any consulting hours to communicate back to the leadership team during implementation phase.
- Take full responsibility for the MIS, ensuring its reliability, performance and alignment with our business needs.
- Facilitate the flow of information between the MIS and other integrated solutions (Propago; Prinergy), ensuring data integrity and the accurate reflection of operational manufacturing and financial functions.
- Drive the continuous improvement of the MIS, making sure it evolves to meet the changing demands of the business.
- Lead the implementation team, establishing training solutions thus maximizing the utility with successful adoption of the MIS.
- Develop comprehensive documentation for system processes, user guides, and best practices.
- Maintain and review budgeted hourly rates (BHR’s).
- In collaboration with IT and our MIS provider, oversee system upgrades and integration projects, minimizing disruption to business operations and ensuring a smooth transition.
- Demonstrate the knowledge and ability to:
- Communicate effectively with Leadership, sales representatives, customer service, production and manufacturing concerning MIS requirements.
- Maintain a professional demeanor.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree preferred, 5-7 years’ experience in a print management environment or equivalent.
- Proven track record of managing and taking ownership of MIS within a dynamic manufacturing environment.
- Attention to detail and operational workflow dynamics to effectively track and analyze the status within the manufacturing process.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical teams, fostering a collaborative working environment.
- Knowledgeable in current industry practices related to purchasing, financial and operational data management as they relate to the printing industry.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects, prioritize tasks, and deliver outcomes within tight timelines.
- Experience in training and user support, with a focus on enhancing user engagement and system efficiency.
- Commitment to continuous process improvement initiatives and ability to solve problems creatively.
- Highly motivated and high level of initiative; inspires confidence to work independently and in support of department goals and business objectives.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and implementing system improvements.
- Strong organizational, planning, communication and computer skills (required: MS Excel, Word; ePS/Pace).
- Must be skilled at determining workflow bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
- Strong process management skills.
