Job Title: Classroom Teacher Aide/Assistant (for Young Children with Special Needs)
Location: We have openings in Syosset, Levittown and East Northport, New York

Position Summary:
We are seeking a caring and dedicated Special Education Teacher Aide or Teacher Assistant to join our team. This position is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special needs.
Key Responsibilities:
· Help with classroom setup, organization, and clean-up.
· Review and understand each student’s IEP and provide feedback and observations for reports and reviews.
· Work with individual students or small groups to support IEP goals, social skills, and communication.
· Assist the classroom teacher in implementing behavior plans (BIPs) and classroom management strategies.
· Collect and maintain data related to student progress and behavior.
· Support the implementation of curriculum aligned with New York State Pre-K Standards, focusing on learning, physical development, social-emotional growth, communication, and cognition.
Qualifications:
· Highschool Diploma required
· Experience working with children in special education or early childhood settings (preferred.)

Salary: $17.50 - $20.50 per hour
