About the Role
We’re seeking Full-Time Teacher Assistants / Teacher Aides to support our classroom teachers in providing high-quality educational and developmental experiences for preschool children with developmental delays.
This is a fantastic opportunity for college students, recent graduates, and education majors who are looking to gain hands-on experience in the classroom!
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:15 AM–3:00 PM
What You’ll Do
- Assist teachers with daily classroom activities and instruction.
- Help maintain a positive, engaging, and organized learning environment.
- Support children with feeding, diapering, and potty training as needed.
- Participate in fun and memorable classroom events — from Harvest Day and Picture Day to Parades, Funny Hair Day, and Graduation!
- Be an active part of creating a caring, playful, and enriching environment where every child feels supported and celebrated.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum: High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience working with preschool-aged children, especially those with special needs, is a plus!
- A caring, reliable, and team-oriented attitude — and a passion for helping children learn and grow.
ACDS covers the costs and fees for staff to complete their NYS Teacher Assistant Certification while employed!
