We are looking for a driven and highly communicative District Manager to oversee store operations, merchandising, and team performance across multiple locations. This role requires a proven leader with a track record of building strong teams, driving sales, and ensuring operational excellence. The District Manager will primarily partner with Store Managers but will also interact with team members as needed to support success at every level.This is a hands-on role with frequent store travel and some office time at our warehouse. While the position follows regular business hours, flexibility for occasional weekends is required.ResponsibilitiesLeadership & CommunicationServe as the primary connection between company leadership and store teams, ensuring goals are clear and consistently communicated.Overcommunicate when needed and follow through until objectives are fully met.Conduct in-depth interviews, hiring, and termination processes.Oversee Store Managers in performance management, training, scheduling, and labor hour control.Training & DevelopmentProvide consistent and ongoing training to managers and staff, ensuring strong customer service, sales techniques, and operational standards.Develop Store Managers into strong leaders who can successfully manage their teams.Ensure training covers compliance, company policies, and cash-handling procedures.Merchandising & OperationsLead efforts in product merchandising, displays, and overall store presentation.Monitor and support inventory management, ordering, returns, and product knowledge.Oversee cash handling, bank deposits, and petty cash procedures through Store Managers, assisting as needed.Ensure stores open on time, operate smoothly, and maintain company standards of cleanliness, atmosphere, and security.Problem Solving & GrowthIdentify challenges that may impact store operations and resolve them quickly.Recommend improvements to policies, marketing, rewards programs, and overall brand consistency.Find cost-saving opportunities while keeping operations efficient and effective.QualificationsProven success as a District Manager, Area Manager, or similar multi-unit retail leader.Strong merchandising skills with a clear eye for product presentation and store atmosphere.Demonstrated ability to train, coach, and develop large teams.Expertise in interviewing, hiring, and termination.Skilled in scheduling and labor hour management.Strong communicator who is not afraid to push for results.Experience with POS systems and customer loyalty/rewards programs.Technical abilities are a plus but not the primary focus (position requires only moderate tech proficiency).Willingness to travel frequently between store locations and spend time in the warehouse office.Compensation & BenefitsSalary: $42,000 – $48,000 annuallyBonus Eligibility: Up to $8,000 annuallyCompany Vehicle: Fully provided for both business and personal use (fuel and maintenance included).
