Summary:
We're seeking a highly experienced and dedicated System Administrator with 5 years of experience administering a Windows environment. This role focuses on the stable operation and evolution of our cloud infrastructure, requiring strong expertise in Microsoft cloud technologies (Azure AD, M365) and will include assisting with tenant migration projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Cloud Identity & Directory Management:
- Govern, optimize, and maintain the health and architecture of Azure Active Directory (Azure AD), ensuring robust identity synchronization, federation, and authentication protocols (e.g., Single Sign-On, MFA).
- Design and enforce security policies (e.g., Conditional Access) to secure access across the Microsoft 365/Azure ecosystem.
- Manage the structure, lifecycle, and governance of user identities, groups, and licensing models to ensure compliance and cost efficiency.
- Tenant Migration and Integration:
- Assist with the planning and execution of IT integration projects following mergers and acquisitions.
- Perform technical work for the migration of acquired companies' Microsoft Tenants or Google Workspaces into our existing Microsoft Tenant.
- Ensure minimal disruption and data integrity during the consolidation process.
- Cloud Infrastructure & Resources:
- Manage and support resources and services within Microsoft Azure (e.g., networking, storage accounts, platform services) and provide support for resources in AWS.
- Ensure the security and cost-optimization of cloud resource deployment.
- Modern Endpoint Management:
- Oversee endpoint and mobile device management using Microsoft Intune/Endpoint Manager (highly desirable).
- Implement and enforce security and compliance policies for client devices accessing cloud services.
- System Operations and Security:
- Implement and manage cloud-native disaster recovery, backup, and patching strategies.
- Proactively monitor system performance, integrity, and security, responding to alerts and resolving critical cloud service incidents promptly.
- Provide basic administration and support for UNIX/Linux cloud-based applications or services.
- Collaboration and Documentation:
- Provide escalation support for the Help Desk team regarding cloud and M365 issues.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of cloud architectures, configurations, and procedures.
Qualifications:
Required Skills & Experience
- 5 years of hands-on experience administering a Windows environment as a System Administrator or in a similar role.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft 365/Azure services, particularly Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) administration and management.
- Familiarity with scripting (e.g., PowerShell,Python,Bash) for automation and configuration management in a cloud context.
- Exposure to UNIX/Linux environments (e.g., basic command-line navigation and administration).
Desired Skills & Experience
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Intune/Endpoint Manager.
- Practical experience with AWS or Microsoft Azure focusing on IaaS/PaaS (Infrastructure/Platform as a Service) resource management.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., AZ-104 Azure Administrator Associate, M365 certifications).
