Hourly | $20.00 - $26.00 (depending on Level)
Full-Time | Temporary (with the ability to convert to permanent)

About The Role
This position prepares parts to be painted via masking and post paint demasking. This involves the cleaning and touchup of painted parts, reading prints, and workmanship consistency.

About The Role
This position prepares parts to be painted via masking and post paint demasking. This involves the cleaning and touchup of painted parts, reading prints, and workmanship consistency.
Responsibilities
- Inspect parts for defects prior to paint; segregate and report non-conforming material to lead.
- Mask and plug painted surfaces per drawing and/or specifications.
- Unmask parts and wrap parts.
- Inspect powder coated parts for defects. Segregate and report defective parts to lead.
- Clean and touch up powder coated parts.
- Package parts for outside services.
- May perform duties related to applying paint powder to parts normally performed by the Paint Prep Technician.
- May perform duties related to filling voids and defects in parts prior to paint, as well as sanding and grinding parts prior to paint.
- Other tasks assigned by the Supervisor.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic math skills
- Basic computer skills (e.g., locating and opening documents, completing digital forms)
- Ability to read, write, and understand written documents in English
- Ability to read and interpret masking requirements from drawings
- Good manual dexterity
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to stay focused on precise tasks for extended periods
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
- Experience applying powder paint coatings to parts
- Experience preparing parts for painting, including filling voids or defects, sanding, and grinding
- 1–2 years of experience performing detailed tape masking
