Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior System Test Engineer to join our team and work onsite at our customer location in Fremont, CA. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in RF/communication test systems, test equipment operation, log analysis, and automated/manual test execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute system-level and device-level test cases using Rohde & Schwarz (R&S), Anritsu, and Keysight test systems.
- Perform detailed log analysis to identify issues, troubleshoot failures, and validate test results.
- Set up, configure, and operate RF and communication test instruments.
- Develop and execute test plans, test scripts, and test procedures for system validation.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware, software, and QA engineers.
- Maintain test environments, track defects, and provide accurate reporting of test results.
- Ensure adherence to test standards, documentation, and customer expectations.
- Participate in test automation efforts (if applicable).
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 4–8 years of experience as a Test Engineer or System Test Engineer.
- Proven experience with R&S, Anritsu, and Keysight test equipment.
- Strong expertise in log analysis for complex RF/communication test setups.
- Hands-on experience executing manual and automated test cases.
- Solid understanding of wireless communication technologies (e.g., LTE, 5G, RF fundamentals).
- Proficiency in test documentation, defect tracking, and root cause analysis.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer-facing abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with automation frameworks (Python, LabVIEW, etc.)
- Exposure to embedded systems, modem testing, or chipset validation.
- Previous experience working in onsite customer environments.
