Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients' physical, cognitive, and functional abilities to identify treatment needs
- Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans
- Assist patients in improving daily living skills such as dressing, bathing, and feeding
- Recommend adaptive equipment and home modifications to support patient independence
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
- Document patient assessments, progress notes, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner
- Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques and safety strategies
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations, safety standards, and facility policies
- Participate in continuing education to stay current with best practices in occupational therapy
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- NBCOT certification (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy)
- Strong understanding of occupational therapy principles and clinical reasoning
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with diverse patient populations
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and assisting patients
- Strong documentation skills and familiarity with electronic health record systems
- Compassionate, patient-focused approach with a commitment to quality care
- Preferred: Experience in hospital or inpatient rehabilitation settings
- Preferred: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Salary : $35 - $54
