Overview:
Our company is looking for a motivated and reliable Store Manager to oversee and maintain the daily operations of our Norwalk Location. Van's Auto Service & Tire Pros has been family owned and operated for over 30 years providing 5 star customer service. The ideal candidate will be an experienced retail professional with a focus on operational efficiency and customer service with a background in the auto industry.
Responsibilities:
- Overall store/retail management, supervision and policy implementation
- Employee staffing, training and development. Sets expectations and communicates regularly with employees on job responsibilities, goals, training, development, and overall customer service. Holds team accountable for job responsibilities, training and goals by coaching or counseling employees toward desired behaviors.
- Ensure sales goals are achieved by assisting in the development and implementation of sales plans, thorough knowledge of services and products and the automotive industry
- Ability to take initiative in identifying problems, collecting data, and establishing facts in order to produce practical decisions and solutions
- Proactive with demonstrated proficiency in multi-tasking within a fast-paced environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements:
This job operates in an automotive shop environment. The job will have exposure to a moderate noise level, adverse weather conditions, chemicals, odors, dirt and dust.
- Must be able to lift, carry and stock merchandise and supplies up to 50 lbs. without assistance
- Frequent standing and walking for long periods of time
- Frequent reaching overhead and below the knees, including squatting, bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting
Professional Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Business mentality with the drive to hit expected goals
- Background in management/sales/auto repair or similar industry
- Computer skills a plus
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and great attendance.
*All candidates are required to have a high school diploma or GED and possess a valid driver’s license with a clean MVR history.
