Responsibilities
- Operate cash registers accurately, handling retail sales transactions with precision and efficiency
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product demos when needed
- Manage cash drawer handling, ensuring proper cash handling procedures and balancing registers at shift end
- Upsell products and promote store promotions to enhance sales opportunities
- Stock shelves, organize displays, and assist with merchandising to maintain an attractive store environment
- Maintain phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers over the phone
- Support inventory management through stocking, product knowledge sharing, and participating in stock counts
Requirements
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in both English and bilingual settings if applicable
- Demonstrated retail sales skills with a focus on upselling and product demos
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and managing retail math calculations
- Experience supervising or mentoring team members is a plus but not required
- Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising, and cash register operations
- Excellent phone etiquette, customer service orientation, and ability to handle cash handling procedures responsibly
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift merchandise as needed, and work flexible hours in a dynamic retail environment.
