Business Development Coordinator

Duties and responsibilities may vary with company requirements and specific project and client requirements. In coordination and in conjunction with the Director of Business Development, increase the company's business opportunities by promoting its name recognition within specific markets. This is accomplished through advertising, participation in trade shows, and conventions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Manages and grows client accounts by building strong relationships, addressing customer needs, monitoring account activity, and identifying growth opportunities.
• Develops a draft of the marketing advertising and conference budget.
• Identifies trade shows, conventions, conferences, and exhibits in which the company will participate (in accordance with the current marketing budget).
• Determines, coordinates, and arranges convention/exhibit activities, including speaking engagements, hospitality suites, sponsorships of special events, and displays.
• Ensures that participation in specific organizations (CASH, CSAC, ACCA, CCLC, CEAC, CSBA, etc.) occurs on a frequent, effective, and consistent basis.
• Develops advertising strategy/budget that supports and furthers our marketing efforts. Contracts for advertising space and creates advertisement theme and/or concepts, working with Graphics Designer to ensure on-time development and placement of ads.
• Identifies new business prospects, making initial client contacts and qualifying prospective clients.
• Maintains database of existing clients and prospective clients.
• Involvement with different AEC associations and organizations.
• Assists with various special projects as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in related field
• 2 years years business development, sales or marketing-related area
• Strong preference for work within AEC environment (Architecture, Engineering or Construction)
• Comfortable with 25% travel
