VanEffen’s Corner Deli & Market is growing, and we’re looking for the right people to step into Kitchen Lead / Deli Lead positions.

Adult Nighttime Leaders Wanted

We are specifically looking for dependable adults who can take charge during evening and closing shifts. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys leading a team, and understands the importance of accountability, customer service, cleanliness, and organization.

This is more than just a job. We’re looking for leaders who can help guide a team, set the pace, uphold standards, and support ownership in the day-to-day operations of the deli.

What is a Kitchen Lead / Deli Lead?

A Kitchen Lead is someone who:

Leads by example Has a strong work ethic Shows up on time and is dependable Keeps the team motivated and productive Helps train new employees Maintains cleanliness and food safety standards Communicates effectively with team members Solves problems and answers employee questions Helps keep the hot box, kitchen, coolers, and shelves stocked Takes pride in the products leaving the kitchen Understands customer service comes first Can work in a fast-paced environment without getting overwhelmed Has integrity and accountability

Responsibilities Include:

• Making pizzas, grinders, and deli food
• Managing kitchen flow during rushes
• Training and coaching team members
• Stocking coolers, shelves, and supplies
• Inventory assistance and organization
• Cleaning, sweeping, mopping, dusting, glass cleaning, and maintaining equipment
• Helping with openings and closings
• Ensuring daily tasks and prep lists are completed
• Supporting ownership and helping keep operations running smoothly

Compensation & Growth

$13.73-17.00per hour depending on flexibility, availability, experience, leadership ability, and overall performance.

Pay is based on performance, attitude, initiative, dependability, leadership ability, and the quality of work you bring to the team every day.

Pay: $13.73 - $17.00 per hour
