Technical Accounting Manager Responsibilities
- Revenue Recognition
- Lead end-to-end revenue recognition for SaaS subscriptions, licenses, AI platform usage, and professional services.
- Ensure accurate application of ASC 606 and ASC 340 to multi-element arrangements and variable consideration.
- Review customer contracts for revenue implications and document conclusions in technical memos.
- Oversee invoicing, billing schedules, and deferred revenue accounting.
- Support monthly close processes including revenue journals, reconciliations, analytics, and reporting.
- Technical Accounting & Financials
- Assist with preparation of technical accounting memos, including revenue, capitalization, commissions, and other emerging areas.
- Contribute to monthly/quarterly close, account reconciliations, and financial statement support.
- Support financial reporting deliverables, including audit documentation and SOX/internal controls (if applicable).
- Collaborate with FP&A on financial insights related to revenue, margins, and contract trends.
- Drive process improvement across revenue operations, accounting systems, and cross-functional workflows.
- 5–10 years of accounting experience in SaaS/software environments.
- Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and ASC 340; experience with multi-element SaaS arrangements.
- Public accounting background (Big 4 or similar) strongly preferred.
- Experience with Salesforce, SAP S/4Hana, or other ERP/CRM systems.
- Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to work independently and cross-functionally.
- Comfort working in fast-moving, high-growth tech environments.

Salary : $130,000 - $180,000
