Bookkeeper – Multi-Entity Family Business
Our client, a family-owned business with multiple operating entities, is seeking a detail-oriented and trustworthy Bookkeeper to manage the day-to-day financial operations across their portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate books for multiple business entities, including recording transactions, reconciling accounts, and managing the general ledger
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable across all entities, ensuring timely payments and collections
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes and bank reconciliations
- Track intercompany transactions and ensure proper allocation between entities
- Process payroll or coordinate with a payroll provider
- Prepare financial reports, profit & loss statements, and balance sheets for ownership review
- Liaise with external CPA or tax preparer at year-end, providing organized records and supporting documentation
- Maintain organized digital and/or physical filing systems for invoices, receipts, contracts, and financial records
- Monitor cash flow and flag any discrepancies or concerns to ownership
Qualifications:
- 2 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a multi-entity or small business environment
- Proficiency in QuickBooks (Desktop or Online) or similar accounting software
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (debits, credits, chart of accounts)
- High level of integrity and ability to handle sensitive financial information
- Self-starter who can manage their own workload with minimal supervision
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
Salary : $35 - $38
